The Sensational Alex Harvey Band!!!

Since then, the Internet has proven fertile ground for a reemergence of this '70s sensation. Several sites (beside this one) are dedicated solely to Alex and the band, and many, many more reference his influence in elevating rock to a theatrical art form.

In the course of researching this site I discovered many rare, unreleased and bootleg Harvey tunes and heard and read many stories about Alex and SAHB. The tribute website, along with the SAHBandwidth station on Live365, is my way of sharing the unique phenomenon that is the Sensational Alex Harvey with those who may not have been privileged to have experienced this underated man and his music firsthand.

This site is dedicated to Alex Harvey fans everywhere, particularly those hardy souls in chains on the SAHB mailing list. Special thanks go to Christine A. Hudgens, for her invaluable research assistance; Mark Geisert, for his contributions to this project above and beyond the call of duty; Charles Shaar Murray and James McNair for graciously granting permission to use their first-hand insights and observations on this site; the faithful who've shared their SAHB stories with me; and Paul Kristoff, Chris Edmonds and Don Bilski for introducing me to the music.
